Job Summary
Are you dedicated to excellent customer service and looking to make a difference in the lives of others? Salem Housing Authority is seeking a motivated, experienced Office Assistant to join our team.

This position provides reception desk and telephone support services, general clerical and administrative support, and resource information to those seeking housing and social service assistance. This position requires strong computer, communication, and clerical skills. This person must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Bilingual skills are highly preferred.

This person must be able to work well with a diverse group of coworkers and clients and handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. If you would like to be part of a fast-paced, mission-orientated housing agency - this may be the perfect opportunity for you!

What are the minimum qualifications?

  • Must pass a pre-employment background check
  • Must have an Oregon Driver License and meet the Salem Housing Authority's driving standards (depending on area of assignment)
  • High school degree or G.E.D, and two years of experience in general clerical/reception work involving public contact in person and providing administrative support, or any combination of experience and training that demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities as listed, and ability to perform the essential job functions.
  • Bilingual skills preferred.
